If you are weary of staring at your four walls, join us for a drive up to LA (that’s lower Awendaw) on Saturday, January 23 to visit the Center for the Birds of Prey and see a demonstration of the special birds in flight.

The Center has recently reopened for tours of no more than 50 people. So far, there are not many visitors signed up for this date, so we hope BCCC members can have lots of access.  It’s necessary to buy your ticket online in advance. The cost is $20, $19 for 65+. The program starts at 10:30. We will meet in front of Kohl’s department store in Oakland Shopping Center in north Mt. Pleasant at 9:30 with departure at 9:45.

Bring a lunch or snack to enjoy afterwards. Masks are required and we will practice social distancing.

We have three tickets that have already been purchased and the people can't go.  Contact Susanne Lemke to check on them before you purchase from Birds of Prey website.

To purchase tickets, go to
thecenterforbirdsofprey.org, the sooner, the better so that all who want to go, can get in. Be sure to select January 23rd when purchasing tickets.  Here is their policy regarding inclement weather:

Programs are rain or shine, but if the weather includes thunder and lightning, delays and cancellations may occur to protectsafety of guests, staff, and birds; In the event a program must be canceled, digital rain checks will be offered that will allow for your visit at a later date at no additional cost.

After buying tickets, please let
Millie know so she can keep a count. Note that the road to the facility is dirt. Normally it is well packed but can be messy after a heavy rain.
Hope to see you in the New Year!
